Novels, Stage-plays, and Screenplays

Margaret C. Price is the recipient of the prestigious AL SMITH FELLOWSHIP for “Artistic achievement as a screenwriter/playwright”.  Price’s writings – whether a screenplay like the  award-winning TEARS OF THE SILVER LIONS, or honored stage-play LOOKING FOR MRS. SANTA CLAUS, or acclaimed novel BELLE BREZING – speak to the power of the resilient human spirit to triumph over adversity.

A Northwestern University (Theatre) graduate, and a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law (member of the Kentucky Bar), Price studied Advanced Screenplay Writing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, screenplay writing at the University of London (BBC-Berkley University program) and enjoyed a course study in International Law at Queens College, Cambridge University, England.

Margaret C. Price’s scripts/novels affirm her beliefs that:

Kindness is magic.

Love (despite everything in our world that roars to the contrary) – is STILL the most powerful force in the universe.

And her secret to writing is cappuccinos, Belgium chocolate and the companionship of a loyal faithful friend with paws – like Gavin, the golden.

Excerpt from Belle Breezing

One small star . . .

“Willie always says that lightning bugs are the eyes of angels watching over us. And if you catch one, ya got to let it go – so it can give its light to a star. Then when you get to that bridge between heaven and earth, the lightning bugs will be waiting there for you. I reckon when I get to that bridge, Jesus and the lightning bugs and Willie will be there waiting for me – waiting for me to give my light to one small star.”
